New York state does things big—the Grow-NY Food and Ag Summit is no exception. In 2019, our inaugural year, we offered an unprecedented, culminating event for the first round of the Grow-NY competition, which featured:
Live pitches from top food and ag startups across the globe competing to win up to $1 million.
A Symposium hosted by the NYS Center of Excellence for Food and Agriculture at Cornell AgriTech. This enriching symposium featured keynote speakers and a series of themed panels discussing some of the biggest challenges and opportunities facing the food and ag industry in New York and beyond. Speakers included world-class food and ag researchers, thought leaders, and established business leaders from Fortune 500 companies.
A tradeshow and exhibition hall showcasing 70 innovative food and ag businesses and New York state resources from across the value chain. Exhibitors ranged from startup businesses to multinational corporations, and included Cornell University resources, economic and workforce development partners, supply chain assets and investors, Trade associations, and high-growth innovators.
A grand finale award ceremony announcing the five startups who won a total of $3 million in prize money.
